WEEK 16

Once finished programming the whole process, we had to start with the screen.

First we had to put all the inputs and outputs in the memories of the screen,
and this was something that cost us a lot to do and we lost a lot of time.

Then we had to connect the project lights to the screen to display the alarms,
it was an easy job.

When we had the screen programmed, we had to connect and communicate with all
the PLCs and check that everything was correct, but we did not empty the project
and we had to reprogram the screen.

We tried it again and everything worked correctly and since the exercises of the previous challenge were poorly delivered, we have started to do them again and prepare for the recovery test that we have next Tuesday.

The teacher has given us some review exercises and as we hace some problems, we to come in the afternoons after working in the company.

WEEK 15

The model we are programming works when a sensor detects a piece, and when it detects it, it causes a cylinder to exit and move the piece forward. When the piece hits an end of the race, it causes an arm to search for the piece, sucks the piece, and then moves it to the right.

Through 3 sensors, we say what color the piece is, whether it is metal, orange or black.
if the piece is black, another cylinder pushes it.
If the piece is orange, lift the elevator, and using an analog sensor, say if the piece is small, medium or large.

If the piece is large or small, you have to lower the elevator and eject them as if they were bad.

If the piece is medium, when the elevator is up it pushes the cylinder, and takes it to a rotating plate.

After it reaches the drill, it is activated, then it will arrive at the stamping and later, a cylinder take the piece and classify the piece in two different places, depending on whether it is orange or metal.

It has a button (P1) that we have said that activates the process, and also contains a button 2 (P2) that resets the entire program and an emergency mushroom, which stops the entire installation.

Week 14

We have to continue with the last long exercise because we can't start doing and programmimg the project since finish correctly all the exercises.
So, to do this exercise, to do this exercise we had to  the work together whole group and divide different parts of the last exercise.

Josu and Álvaro did the grafcet and program of the first PLC, Unai checked all the inputs and outputs of this exercise and Giancarlo and Jon did the same of Josu and Álvaro but with the second PLC.

Josu and Álvaro had a lot of problems with the resets of all the states of the program but Giancarlo and Jon didnt have any problems because their PLC program was shorter and easier.

When arrived the our to put un common the three parts of the exercise we didn't have problems because the works were be done right, so It has been an easy work.

Once the last exercise was finished we started with the maquet we had raised in the challenge and we had to do the same, divide the work into three parts.

How Unai worked correctly identifying the inputs and outputs we decided together that it can be her work.
Josu and Álvaro programmed two short PLC programms and Jon and Giancarlo started programming the most difficult PLC program with analogics inputs.

WEEK 13

After spending several days doing communication exercises using MPI and PROFIBUS, and we decided that it would be much easier to communicate the 4 PLCs in MPI.
The next day we were communicating the PLCs through MPI all day while Alvaro, Unai and Josu were finishing the PROFIBUS exercises, since the next day we had the same challenge exam.

That same Friday we had an exam of that same challenge. It was a 6h exam at most, so it was a very long exam.

The following Monday, we had to make the presentations about that same challenge, and at the end of them we had to move to the next table to make the last challenge.

In this last challenge, we have put ourselves in pairs; I have Giancarlo, Josu has joined Alvaro and Unai is alone at the table.

That same Monday, giancarlo and I finished doing an exercise, and as it was the first day, we were happy to have a productive day.

On Tuesday Alvaro finished making a program together with josu, which worked for them correctly.

and Wednesday Unai finished his exercise, so we can only finish the last exercise, which is very difficult, and we hope to finish in a few days

week12

We continued with the new challenge, first we started identifying all the outputs, inputs, presence sensor, cylinder end of careers and PLCs inputs and outputs.

After doing that, we started investigating about MPI and PROFIBUS comunications, and we realized that the MPI connection was easier than PROFIBUS connection. So, to do MPI exercises we didn´t have any problems but to do PROFIBUS exercises we needed the help of the teachers.

We have a lot of problems with the PLCs comunication exercises because the funtioning of the PLCs are wrong. So when we started doing the PROFIBUS exercises at the beginning we thought we were going to finish the exercises quickly but we had many complications during the challenge.
We have divided into three groups, each doing the exercises and programming her project PLC.
Jon and Giancarlo did the MPI and X-GET and X-PUT exercises, Unai and Josu did some of PROFIBUS exercises and Alvaro did the rest of PROFIBUS exercises.

In this challenge we have to comunicate each button of each PLC with the rest of PLCs, and in our opinion this has not been an easy work.

WEEK 11

We finished this challenge and now we have started a new one, the challenge 5.

Teachers gave to us what we have to do during the challenge and we had to organice how we were going to work.
We are worried because the rest of the groups have not been able to finish al the exercises on time.

On monday we started reading and understanding the exercises together but we realized that it was better to separate into groups and divide the work to be able to finish all the programs and exercises of the challenge.

On Tuesday we saw some videos in youtube to learn how to do some exercises and after that we started trying to do the exercises but we needed a lot of time to do it.

This Wednesday we continued doing programming exercises and once it was finished we started with comunication exercises.

On Thursday first we did English exercises and after that we continued doing comunication exercises, as with programming exercises, we had the watch videos on Youtube.

On Friday we taked an our to see how we are doing the work together because is not easy work and do exercises in groups because someones will control more of some issues than others.
After reorganize, we continued with the comunication exercises.

WEEK 10

                                                         WEEK 10

After performing the challenge test5, apart from creating a relay scheme by means of a program in SYSMAC STUDIO to start a motor that works at different speeds through a drive, we had to program an HMI screen that could start the program by touching the HMI screen or display the speed that the engine contained.
We also made an oral presentation in class after successfully completing challenge 5 with a couple of doubts.
When teaching our program and that everything worked, we were proud of the program we did, since everything worked perfectly, except one thing, that for reasons of SYSMAC STUDIO we could not do.
The day after finishing the whole class the presentations and showing what the program was doing, they put us in another challenge.
This challenge will be the fourth challenge of this year, so more or less, we know how to finish everything and be proud of the program we will do.
In this 4 challenge, what we will have is a table, with 4 different PLCs and each table has a few electropneumatic valves, which when activated enable air to pass, creating a linear or circular movement depending on how the cylinders are.
