WEEK 10

                                                         WEEK 10



After performing the challenge test5, apart from creating a relay scheme by means of a program in SYSMAC STUDIO to start a motor that works at different speeds through a drive, we had to program an HMI screen that could start the program by touching the HMI screen or display the speed that the engine contained.
We also made an oral presentation in class after successfully completing challenge 5 with a couple of doubts.
When teaching our program and that everything worked, we were proud of the program we did, since everything worked perfectly, except one thing, that for reasons of SYSMAC STUDIO we could not do.
The day after finishing the whole class the presentations and showing what the program was doing, they put us in another challenge.
This challenge will be the fourth challenge of this year, so more or less, we know how to finish everything and be proud of the program we will do.
In this 4 challenge, what we will have is a table, with 4 different PLCs and each table has a few electropneumatic valves, which when activated enable air to pass, creating a linear or circular movement depending on how the cylinders are.

WEEK 9

                                          WEEK 9


This week is a kaos because we have an exam on friday, we were doing exercises

and preparing the exam and in the same time we have had to finish and 
deliver the challenge.This week has been chaos. We had problems communicating the program with the drive and the PLC.
We had to use a USB cable to connect from the computer to the drive, and
a network cable to connect from a switch to the screen where we have all
the program created. but the problem was that the network cable did not work well, so we could
not connect from the switch to the screen. Then we had to use the USB cable
to connect to the drive and to the screen followed, in order to use and both. and
once everything had been loaded, we were able to load the program well, and by
means of that program we started an engine.
This week is a kaos because we have an exam on friday, we were doing exercises

WEEK 8

This week we have continued with the challenge, we have continued seeing the manuals
of the motor drive and do the exercises.
We have all been working on the same, then the teacher came to explain the
operation and what each element of our project served for.


After we have been working with the screen, we had to create the program with the
screen to later be easier to program for all participants.
Once the exercises are done, we have separated into two groups:
The first group started programming the screen, and the second group started creating
the program with Sysmac Studio.

We think that is better separated in 2 groups, because is easier finish the challenge,
and after finish everything, we will help the another group creating the program in
Sysmac Studio or programming the screen.
We have had many problems with the sensors and resetting of counters, we have
also had problems with the alarms that appeared in the plc and in the input and
output device.

We have identified all the button wires and taken to their corresponding inputs.

WEEK 7

This week we have continued with the new challenge, we have begun to see the manuals
of the motor drive and do the exercises.
We have all been working on the same, then the professor came to explain the operation and what
each element of our project served for.


We have also been seeing the difference between asynchronous and synchronous motors
with videos shared by the teacher for email.


It was not easy to understand it through the videos and he had to explain it correctly with
paper drawings, drawings on the board and with mathematical calculations


After we have been working with the screen, we had to create the program with the screen
to later be easier to program for all participants.

Once the exercises are done, we have separated into two groups:

The first group started programmin the screen, and the second group started creating
the program with Sysmac Studio.

We think that is better separated in 2 groups, because is easier finish the challenge,
and after finish everything, we will help the another group creating the program in
Sysmac Studio or programming the screen.

WEEK 6

The 8th of November we finished the project number 1 and our classmates had an exam related to their projects.While they were doing the exam, we took advantage of the opportunity to improve some mistakes from our project number 1 .
The 11 of November all the groups had to present different projects. After that, the next day ,12 of Novemer, we started the next project doing the first excercise that consist on making semi-automatic system of bottle and labelled by setting up in HMI screen.
We have divided the assignment in 2 groups, the first group have to convert the programation from one language communication system to the other one. The second group have to follow the instructions of the "Manual" to create the program for the HMI screen. 
We have also begun to collect information to carry out project number 4,
This project must be completed within 20 days or so, so we have to do it quickly.

WEEK 5

Hi, this week we continued doing the challenge.
We create an installation using electropneumatic

-As I said last week, the signal of a button that we have called"start",
activate a cylinder  that will come out, together with that cylinder a piece will come out.

-When the piece is out, the robot tool absorb the piece, through a vacuum system, and will move the piece to a conveyor belt.

-Once the piece reaches the tape, this will move, then by means of sensors will have to say if the piece is red, black or gray.

-If 4 pieces of the same color have been detected, the installation will stop and with a reset button we reset the counters.

We also have to program another robot arm to move it to understand how it works. We also have to program an HMI panel.

We continued watching videos of programming and a lot of PDF´s, but we are close to finish this Proyect.

WEEK 4

This week, we have changed the challenge, since the previous challenge we had finished.
In this challenge, what we have to do is create an installation using electropneumatics, and the installation has to work this way;

We also have to program another robot arm to move it to understand how it works. We also have to program an HMI panel.

To finish everything on time, We divide the work among the 5 members of the group.


Giancarlo watched how to connect 2 PLC's in youtube and after that he tried programming the robot.

Josu, tried to run the variator, but he couldn't. Then he started pregramming with Giancarlo the robot.

Jon, was doing the PLC programm in "Tia Porta" (Tia Portal is a programm to start programming PLC's).

WEEK 3

WEEK  3


In this week, what we did is check the things that are wrong and correct all the errors, in the RobotStudio and in In-Sight, because we had some problems with these programs.
The first problem we had, was with the camera, The camera was bad situated in the wrong place, because the light of the sun affects to the program. We had to change the INSIGHT program when the brightness was low or high. The brightness changed depending on the position of the sun so we  put a paper in the window to cover the maximum sunlight.
The second problem was with the RobotStudio,  because for us it was new and we didnt know how to programm. So the last week to solve all the problems  we have found information in google and in youtube, so  more or less now our programm works correctly..

WEEK 2

On this second week we started doing Moodle robot studio and InSight excercises, the first excersises were very easy but later they were being harder. To do the  exercises we discuss in group before doing it, after this we decide the best way to do the difficult excercises. To improve our work performance we divide into to groups, the first group were: Josu Eguren and Jon Molina and they take care of the RobotStudio practices as well as programing the Robotic arm with RAPID lenguage.

The second group,  were: Giancarlo NUñez, Alvaro Puente and Unai Ruiz, and they started doing In-sight excersises, and after that, they start programming the camera.

After that, we get together again to talk about the excersises, and Giancarlo, Unai and Alvaro, did all exercises about the camera, but  Jon and Josu , did not finish doing all exercises about RobotStudio, because they had so much problems with the program, so they started doing the challenge.

The first thing we did was take the points where the robot had to go, while the others were learning to connect the camera with the robot. So after that, we  join what we did and we started doing the challenge together, and when we had less than 50% to finish, the techers, said us to change the programm from de RobotStudio, so we must started more or less again, so now a days, we must do a lot of things, because we only finished the camera exercises and nothing more.

Now we are checking the things that are wrong and correcting all the errors.

WEEK 1

FIRST WEEK


CABLESIMU TEAM: ALVARO, JOSU, GIANCARLO, UNAI AND JON


     This first week has been amazing for us, we have started  our first proyect which consist in a ABB Robot which takes pieces from a box an transports them through different areas. It is difficult for us because we have not studied this before so we lose a lot of time searching information. We are using RobotStudio program to program the robot and InSight program which comunicates the camera with our computers. We have to do some different practices with the programs for practice, we can not connect the camera with the computers so we ask for help to our teachers but they don not know how to connect the camera either. And that is not the only problem that we have, we are frecuently losing our RobotStudio licence which is needed to do the practices so we are wasting the most part of our time solving the problems.

    We are participating in an ideas competition to improve society, our idea which is named "LUCES ANTI-ATROPELLO" is a very interesting idea and we think that we can win the competition.
Garazi told us to create a company which sells something interesting, we have to create a product, a logo, a slogan and that type of things which are important to make a successful company. We do not know what are we going to create yet but we have plenty of time to think about it.
